Follow Mineral Creek Trail for 5.5 miles to PCT. Turn left onto PCT and follow it for about 0.7 mile to the junction with Chikamin Lake Trail #1360, that goes to the right. The junction is not marked.

A short 0.1 mile climb brings you to the ridge with a breathtaking view of the "stone kingdom" with green islands of trees, majestic Chikamin Peak (6960 ft), Lemah Mountain (7540 ft) and emerald Spectacle Lake . From the ridge the trail descends quite steeply for about 0.1 mile and then gradually for 0.5 to Glacier Lake . The trail reaches a creek with several campsites near it. There are also campsites on the north shore of the lake. The lake is very beautiful with Chikamin Peak rising up on the east side. A small waterfall streams down into the lake.

Past the creek there is a junction - to the right the trail leads to Spectacle Lake. The main trail continues along the north shore of the lake for about 0.2 mile and reaches a rockfall area with a huge rock standing in a middle of it . The trail gets lost here. Continue on, passing the big rock on the right. Past the rock the trail crosses a creek and follows the creek's south bank for about 0.2 mile, then crosses on to the north bank, and steeply climbs for about 0.1 mile to another junction. To the left goes a cross-country route used by climbers heading to Chikamin Peak. The main trail continues to the right. Pay attention here, for in about 100 ft the trail makes a left turn that is hard to see. Do not descend into the valley. The trail continues on along the north slope of the ridge and in about 0.6 mile reaches small lakes, goes by the lakes, and brings you to Chikamin Lake in about 0.2 mile. The lake and the surrounding area are of a rare beauty .

From the north-east side of the Chikamin Lake a cross-country route leads to Iceberg Lake.
