The trail starts off the junction with the Boundary Trail #1. The trail steeply climbs up the slope for 0.2 mile. For the rest 0.5 mile the trail gradually climbs, following the ridge, to the Harry's Ridge Viewpoint. This trail provides exceptional views of the Mount St. Helens , Spirit Lake and Bear Cove , The Dome and Mount Margaret, Windy Ridge, etc. In our opinion this is the best viewpoints onto the north side of the Mount St. Helens .
