August 3, 2000

For the first 0.6 mile the trail steeply climbs through the woods. Then the trail evens up as it leads to lower Kendall Lake . There are lots of downed trees on this part of the trail. The lake is not big, shallow with grassy shores. From the east shore the trail enters the woods and with little elevation gain in 0.2 mile reaches the middle Kendall Lake . The lake is pretty with clean water and shores grown with trees. There is a campsite on the north side of the lake near the rock. From the campsite the trail steeply ascends on the grown with trees slope and leads to upper Kendall Lake . The lake is beautiful, with Kendall Peak rising up on the north side. There is a small campsite on the east side.
