From
the gate follow gravel road passing first spur road in 0.2 mile and
second in another 0.2 mile. Continue straight, trailhead is in 0.1
mile on the left (about 200 feet before creek). Trail enters the woods
and in 0.2 mile reaches the creek. This is your only chance to get
water on this trail. Make sure you have enough. Trail gets steep climbing
up the mountain ,
where first part (about 1 mile) is well maintained. For the next 0.8
mile it gets very rough and muddy until it reaches an open rocky slope.
After passing through the woods for about 0.2 mile the trail enters
open meadows. The next 0.3 mile of climbing up the ridge bring you
to the summit with good views of Mt. Rainier, Glacier Peak and Mt.
Baker. You may find register in the mailbox
on the summit and leave a record if you wish so .
