Make sure you have enough water with you before going up the trail. Also use your chance and take a look at a small waterfall that is a little way up the creek before bridge crossing . The trail is rough with lots of blow-downs, roots and mud. For about one mile trail climbs steeply through an old grown forest until it reaches the bushes, where it evens up a little for about 0.5 mile, offering views of surrounding mountains. Entering the woods again trail gets very steep for another 0.3 mile. An easy descend for about 0.2 mile leads you to a nice campsite with a view of the lake, pretty island and impressive cirque on the other side of the lake .
