| From
Seattle take I-5 North to Exit 208 to Highway 530 East to Arlington.
Follow Highway for 32 miles to the intersection with Mountain Loop
Highway in Darrington. Turn right and follow the road for about 8.9
miles (milepost 6). Turn right onto road #2080 (the sign is on the
left side of the highway). From this point gravel road starts. Follow
the road for about 1.1 mile and turn right to road # 2081. In about
3.1 mile turn left to road #2086 and follow for about 1.2 mile to
the trailhead at the road end. |

The
trail starts with switchbacks and climbs gradually through the old
forest. In about 1.5 mile it reaches the ridge covered with meadows
and offeres a beautiful view. Then the trail drops down for about
0.4 mile to the lake .
Several campsites are available on the north-east side of the lake.
No backcountry toilet. |
