With little elevation gain the trail goes through the woods and in about 1.1 mile reaches a campsite near the creek. In 0.2 mile Tired Creek Trail #1317 goes to the right, then in a mile Road Tie Trail #1323.1, that is used by bikers as an access to Road #4616, turns right. Continuing on through the woods the trail leads to Pete Lake. Near Pete Lake Waptus Pass Trail#1329 turns right. A short trail going to the left leads to the lake . A nice view of the mountains opens up on the west. There are several campsites on the north shore. Backcountry toilets are available. From the junction the main trail continues straight. In about 1.5 mile it reaches Lemah Creek and Lemah Meadow Trail #1323.2, that turns right and in about one mile leads to PCT. This is an alternative route to PCT to avoid fording Lemah Creek, it adds about another mile to the overall distance. The main trail crosses the Lemah Creek and gradually climbing for about 0.7 miles reaches PCT.
