| From
Seattle take I-5 North to Exit 194 to Highway 2 East. After crossing
railroad underpass at about MP 58 continue further. Right after MP
59 look for unmarked parking on the left (north) side of the highway.
Park there, cross the highway and go back for about 0.1 mile to rough
gravel road on the left. If you have 4x4 it is very possible to drive
up the road to the power lines. |

Follow
the road for about 1 mile to the power lines. The road goes quite
steep. Make sure you have water with you. At the power lines turn
left and continue up the road for about 0.5 mile to the tower marked
#5. There is no sing indicating the trail, so look on the right side
not to miss it. Nice view of the surrounding mountains and highway
2 opens from here .
As soon as you turn into the woods the trail gets very steep and rough.
In about another 0.5 mile you are at hot springs. Several campsites
and toilet are available there. Four pools
and a nice deck
were build and are maintained by volunteers. Please read the rules
that are usually displayed at the entrance to the pools and do not
be offended by people who prefer not to wear swimming suits. Temperature
of water in pools very from about 100 to 110 F, so you can choose
what you like. |
