Trail:

This trail is not maintained.

First mile brings you to a junction where right fork leads you to a small campsite by the creek. This is a place to relax and meditate. Main trail (left fork) continues further and finds its end in blow-downs and bushes in about one mile.

Continuing further to hot springs is not like a regular hike - it is more like climbing & jumping exercise. This is not a hike for children or elderly people.

From the campsite go up the creek for about 0.3 mile. Pay attention and you will be able to see signs of the trail for it is not heavily used and hard to follow. Look for a wide grown with moss log across the creek. Make sure it is a safe one. Cross the log and continue up the creek for another 0.1 mile (do not climb up the bank). There will be not even a sign of a trail from this point. You will have to make your own way through. Be careful when crossing logs and stones - they are very slippery. You will see a tiny stream coming down the stones and a tiny little pool with a specific color. Go up the stone stairs and you are there.

The pool is big enough to sit two people. The water is more worm-like (about 90F) then hot. Bacteria grows very quick in this water. It is a good idea to clean the pool before soaking in it. Use the broom to clean the bottom and open lower pipe (a little to the right and to the bottom of the pool from the top one) to drain the water completely. It takes about 20 minutes to fill the pool up.

Please keep the pool and the area clean. There are some tools available for you there. Another much smaller pool is a little way up the creek at the bottom of the hill. But water in that one is more cold then worm.

Please be reasonable when hiking - try the logs before crossing, do not make attempts that can lead to injuries, if you are not sure - turn around.
