As this is a cross-country route the path may vary. We present description for the one we chose to hike.

The route begins its steep ascend from the north side of the Lake Clarice. For about 0.5 mile it follows the slope grown with bushes and trees leading to the top of the ridge. For another mile the trail gradually ascends to a small terrace not far from the summit. You can still see Lake Calarice from here . The trail gets very steep as you climb following the ridge for 0.3 mile. As you reach a stone “terrace” that is on your south-east (left) side, cross over on it. Don't attempt to continue along the ridge - there is an area there that requires climbing equipment. Follow the “terrace” for about 0.1 mile to the talus. Turn west (right) on talus and follow it for 0.1 mile to the ridge and further to the summit . Marmot Lake , lower Ptarmigan and upper Ptarmigan Lakes can be seen from the summit.
