September 25, 2000

The trail follows the spur 121, crosses Thorp Creek and in about 0.1 mile reaches a junction with spur 123, that leads to Little Joe Lake Trail #1330.1. Spur 121 turns left, the trail follows it for another 0.2 mile and then leaves it going through the clearcut to the left with some elevation gain. The trail enters the woods, in about 0.1 mile crosses a small creek and then steeply climbs for about 1 mile to the junction with the Thorp Lake Trail #1316.1, that goes straight, leading to the lake . The lake is shallow, with grassy shores and trees standing close to the water. East slope of Thorp Mountain (5854 ft) rises above the lake's west shore. There are several campsites on the north side.

From the junction the main trail continues on to the right and steeply climbs on the meadows for about 0.3 miles to Kachess Ridge Trail #1315 and Thorp Mountain Trail #1315.2.
