July 19, 2000

The trail gradually climbs for about one mile to the lake , crosses the creek and continues along the west lake shore, passing by several nice campsites. The lake is pretty and surrounded with mountains . There is still some snow near the lake. From the northern side of the lake two cross-country routes lead to Chain Lakes, where the remains of the old mine can be found, and to La Bohn Gap, La Bohn Lakes and Mount Hinman.
