August 21-22, 2003 Trail to Saddle Lake has lots of roots and rocks, but goes quickly to the lake. From lake to Goat Flats is wonderful with tons of blueberries. To this point I saw only one mosquito and very few other bugs. The weather was hot and after the flats water is scarce. From Tin Can Gap to Three Fingers lookout was a bit of a hump. Two areas you will need an ice axe and on the down hill snow slope I would suggest cramp one. The last snowfield to the top was fine. The views from the look out were amazing. Down on the glacier saw a mountain goat in the evening. Downtown Seattle was visible from the top.
